The new Bluebonnet nominees are out! My goal is to read all 20 of them, so we can talk about them in the library! So far I have read 2!
First, I read Calvin Coconut: Trouble Magnet. It is set in Hawaii, who does not want to go there?! Calvin is a fourth grader who finds trouble everywhere! One day, Calvin decides to take a pet centipede to school in a glass jar and it ESCAPES! You'll have to read the book to find out what happens!
I also read 43 Old Cemetary Road: Dying to Meet You. This book is written through a series of letters, drawings, and newspaper clippings. Mr. I.B. Grumply rents a house for the summer to write a children's book. However, strange things begin to happen as soon as he moves in and there is a young boy living there by himself! See what happens in this funny, touching story about learning how to learn from others.
